Sedona

Cathedral Rock (Hike)

A beautiful towering red rock formation, part of the Cathedral Rock Trail. A short hike up gives you breathe taking vistas of the red rocks of Sedona and towering cathedral rock. Be sure to look up as hawks love to soar high above the rocks!

Devil’s Bridge Trail (Hike)

Definitely a must do while visiting Sedona. Important things to note. This is a very popular trail and gets extremely busy. We arrived at 7:30a to beat the crowd and it was definitely the best decision we made. We hung out at the top for a while and made it back down around 10a. At which point tons and I mean tons of people were making their way onto the trail. People were parking down along the road and walking up since the parking lot was full. The trail itself is pretty easy for the most part until the last leg. You will have to do some climbing which can be a bit challenging for some on the way up and down. For that reason, I highly recommend going early.

Red Rock Scenic Byway (SR 179)

As you are driving upon this beautiful scene pictured you are in complete awe of the majestic colors of the Red Rock formations, the sun hitting them the size and shapes of them and the blue sky all around you and them. You will not see anything like this anywhere accept in the USA South West! Gorgeous, and Breath taking!

Bell Rock

Take the hike and go to the “top” – once you get to the smoothed center, go to the left and it zigzags around. I don’t think there’s any way to make it to the very top without specific climbing equipment. I’m 40 and did it just fine, just take your time. I would definitely not trying to get to the top with younger children. The view was beautiful. If you go to the top, don’t waste your time getting pics from each layer.
